Submissions for Issue 7 (Fall 2012) are open!

It’s that time again! Submissions are now open for Issue 7 (Fall 2012) which will be a themed issue: NOSTALGIA!

Please note: This means that we are only looking for pieces that relate to nostalgia in some way for this issue. We will return to general submissions later this year for Issue 8.

So, what do we want? Poetry or fiction that relates to nostalgia…in any capacity. What evokes nostalgia for you? A character stuck in the past? A setting ripe with memories? Assorted bits and bobs from your childhood? We want to see what your interpretation of this theme is, whether it’s big or small, direct or indirect.

All the contributions should still be in the vein of previously-published Midwestern Gothic stories and poems—namely, showcasing the Midwest, or your life inspired by the Midwest. We want to see the gritty, real and raw, even the mundane or overtly happy —but also flavored with the theme of nostalgia.

All other submission requirements stand (please see our Submissions page for more information). Otherwise, happy submitting!
