flight of the conchords
i’m not one to plug television shows and/or movies here. fact is, we all like different things and my lowly opinion is just that…my opinion. however, there are three shows on television i’ll go to bat for and endorse the hell out of:
1.) lost
2.) it’s always sunny in philadelphia
3.) flight of the conchords
now #3 is a new addition (and yes, a rare addition to my list in lieu of jericho going down the crapper by the end of the season) and i’m basing this new-found love for the show completely on having seen just one episode. it’s that good.

basically, mckenzie and clement (both new zealanders) have had a couple of comedy specials on hbo in the past where dueling guitars and witty banter is the name of their game. check out some great clips here. clement may look familiar to those of you who have a soul (now comes the movie plug), as he’s making waves in the new film eagle vs. shark. the film is supposed to be a cross between napoleon dynamite and little miss sunshine. great trailer.
regardless if you like any of those conchord tidbits, the show is downright hilarious. honestly. and for a limited time you can check out the first episode for free online.
and if you don’t have hbo (as i surely don’t), make sure you relish in this opportunity to witness the rebirth of television in all its splendor.
